We have an amazing opportunity for an energetic, passionate and highly capable Clinical Support Officer to join Blue Care Indigenous Services based from Cairns or Townsville.

 

We all know that equal access to healthcare is a basic human right; however Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people can expect to live up to 10 to 17 years less the non-Indigenous Australians.

 

The purpose of this role is to provide operational support to the General Manager and Service Managers within a geographic cluster, through the development, provision and maintenance of supporting structures and systems that will enable the Cluster to provide quality care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander elders. This position presents a unique opportunity to be a part of a meaningful close the gap initiative whilst being based in a gorgeous scenic location of North Queensland.

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Providing support to the General Manager, Service Managers and their staff to strengthen and monitor clinical compliance
  • Supporting efficient and effective practices for maximised care delivery outcomes and efficiencies;
  • Identifying site specific issues in relation to accreditation standards, and assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of continuous improvement plans.
  • Playing a key leadership and supportive role you will be a dedicated professional with proven experience leading a multidisciplinary team and working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Work as part of the team in leading the way in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander healthcare and innovation to progress Self-Determination for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through unique and holistic care; prioritising social justice to nurture physical, mental and spiritual healing.

You will need extensive experience in high level service delivery and management, advanced leadership skills and a tertiary qualification in a related health field.  Your positive attitude; ability to think innovatively and respond to complex situations will make you a great fit for the role.
