Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre is after a Carer Support Officer to join our team located in Toowoomba for a fixed term period until June 2018. CRCC supports Carers in there caring roles and is a federally funded program under the Department of Social services. As a Carer support you will be providing information and advice to carers regarding services, organise short term and emergency respite and develop and maintain links with relevant service providers.

 

You will need a relevent tertiary qualification in Social Welfare, Human Services or a health related field, experience in mental health or community care and a current driver’s license. Experience implementing and evaluating care/respite services would be advantageous. Your strong interpersonal and written communication skills, as well as demonstration of commitment to ongoing education and training will make you a great candidate. Demonstrated experience working in a multi-disciplinary team is essential.
