We’re seeking experienced Registered Nurses motivated to make a change in the life of our community clients and set a new standard in care.

 

You’ll provide person-centred care to your clients in the community, ensuring a safe environment within their home and applying your clinical skills to improve client’s quality of life and independence. You’ll 

  • Assess, plan and implement client care within your scope
  • Consider physical, social and psychological requirements
  • Create and update care plans to reflect developing needs
  • Ensure clinical quality compliance standards are met
  • Work collaboratively with other multi-disciplinary team members 

With no two days ever the same, you’ll spend the majority of your day on the road, completing your scheduled community visits.

 

What you’ll need:

You’ll be an experienced nurse who is driven to make a change in the lives of those in the community through enabling their independence and well-being. You’ll be confident working autonomously within a community care based setting and demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving skills
  • 2+ years general nursing experience, preferably in community sector
  • Confidence with smart phones and digital devices or willingness to learn
  • Full, unrestricted AHPRA registration and unlimited work entitlements
  • Current Australian Driver’s License.

Supporting our clients in the best way possible is important to us. To be employed by Blue Care, you will be required to complete the free NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement and provide a copy of your certificate on completion.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you hold a current Nurse Licence and Registration Certificate to practice in the State where employed? i.e. AHPRA registration
Essential: Do you hold a current Australian Driver’s License and have access to a road worthy vehicle?
Essential: Because you will be working in the community, you’ll spend a large portion of your day on the road, travelling between client homes to deliver support. Is this something you’re aware of and would be comfortable with?
Essential: Do you have broad general nursing experience and demonstrated skills reflective of clinical experience?
Essential: Can you demonstrate effective use of digital technology and devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers and proficiency in software applications?
Essential: Because you will be working with vulnerable people in the community, it is preferable that you have an up to date influenza vaccination. Can you supply evidence of this?
Essential: Have you completed the NDIS Worker Orientation module and can provide your certificate of completion?
Essential: If you are successful for this role, you may be required to undergo a series of pre-employment checks; that may include your Right to Work in Australia, Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a Health Screening Questionnaire. Do you consent to this?
