Position Summary

Due to retirement, we’re inviting applications from skilled Residential Aged Care clinicians with strong leadership skills to oversee care delivery for our Labrador facility!


Working with your Care Coordinator, you’ll work to provide outstanding care to residents in this 160 bed service, advocating individualised care that enhances and promotes their quality of life. Overseeing a team of care staff, you’ll empower your team through learning, support and leadership in order to advance the level of service to your residents.


In conjunction with your Residential Service Manager, you’ll ensure care governance and quality compliance are achieved through robust processes that meet internal and external auditing standards.


You’ll ensure the sustainability and growth of the service through your diligence with ACFI funding, care planning and community engagement. You’ll plan and implement care initiatives centred on quality improvements, driving positive changes within your services.


What you’ll need:

As an experienced leader, you’ll hold considerable knowledge of residential care with practical experience leading multi-disciplinary teams within an aged/community setting.  You’ll have a solid understanding of the industries quality standards, frameworks, funding and how these have shaped care delivery for the sector. You'll have:

  • Bachelor Level Qualifications in a Nursing with current AHPRA registration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven leadership, coaching and development skills
  • Sound experience in management of budgets & financials
  • Ability to routinely problem-solve complex clinical scenarios
  • Evidence of innovative practices, through quality or service improvements

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you hold a current Nurse Licence and Registration Certificate to practice in the State where employed? i.e. AHPRA registration
Desirable: Do you have extensive leadership and management experience and knowledge in residential and or community care services and in area of speciality?
