  • Permanent Full-Time opportunity – Day Shift  
  • $25.78 to 26.55 per hour + 10% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

We’re seeking applications from Experienced Cook to join our facility team at Labrador Aged Care Facility.

 

This is a great opportunity for a Chief Cook aiming to restore their work life balance and gain employment in one of Australia’s fastest growing industries.

 

As part of your role you’ll:

 

  • Prepare, cook and serve food in adherence with dietary requirements with a strong focus on food safety standards.
  • Supervise kitchen staff
  • Support senior hospitality staff members with menu design and implementation,
  • Promote quality standards and maintain service with standard operating procedures. 

 

What you’ll need:

You will be driven, possess leadership qualities and take pride in your presentation. You’ll be knowledgeable in relation to nutrition and have a keen interest on the impact of dietary requirements on our aged residents.

 

You’ll have proven experience in safe food preparation, storage and delivery, a clear understanding of WHS and be confident in medium-high volume meal preparation. You’ll demonstrate:

  • Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent skills from previous experience
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain if required
  • Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Good understanding of Australian food and beverage standards
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies

Previous exposure to nutrition and dietary requirement for the aged is desirable but not essential. 

 

Supporting our clients in the best way possible is important to us. To be employed by Blue Care, you will be required to complete the free NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement and provide a copy of your certificate on completion.
