We're seeking applications from passionate Assistants in Nursing, Support Workers and Personal Carers to join our Ingham Community Care Team.


This is a great opportunity for AINs, Support Workers and PCs looking to secure a permeant contract in a leading not for profit aged care provider setting new standards in community aged care.


You’ll provide care and assistance to your clients at their homes, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.


Making scheduled visits you will provide in home personal care including:

  • Daily living assistance; showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry & ironing
  • Providing care in accordance with clients individualised Care Plan
  • Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
  • Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments

What you’ll need:

  • Certificate III Aged Care, Home and Community Care or Disability Support
  • Blue Card and Yellow Card or willingness to obtain
  • Open QLD drivers licence and roadworthy vehicle as required
  • Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies

In May 2020 it became mandatory to have the influenza vaccination to either enter or work in a Residential Aged Care Facility. This was a legal direction triggered by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Recently, Queensland Health advised that employees working in a residential aged care facility are no longer required to have an influenza vaccination. Whilst the influenza vaccination is currently not a requirement, it is highly likely the vaccination will be a seasonal requirement moving into future years. We strongly encourage all employees across Aged Care and Community Services to obtain the seasonal influenza vaccination to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the vulnerable people in our care as well as their own.

Selection Criteria Desirable: Do you hold a current Blue Card or Yellow Card, or the willingness to obtain?
Desirable: Do you have experience working in community care?
Desirable: As a Personal Carer in the community, you’ll spend a portion of your day on the road, travelling between client homes to deliver support. Is this something you’re aware of and would be comfortable with?
Desirable: Do you hold a Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Home and Community Care or Disabilities OR have you completed two semesters of a Bachelor of Nursing? If no, please list your qualifications relevant to this role:
Desirable: Because you will be working with vulnerable people in the community, it is preferable that you have an up to date influenza vaccination. Can you supply evidence of this?
Desirable: Do you hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence and have access to a road worthy vehicle?
Desirable: Are there any restriction on you shift availability?
