We are currently inviting applications for an experienced Diversional Therapist to join our Bundaberg Riverlea Aged Care Facility team.
Your Role:
You will develop and implement social and recreational programs to improve and maintain the quality of life of our residents. This will involve assessing residents’ needs and planning, developing and evaluating individual lifestyle activity programs to increase socialisation.
You will explore the resident’s interests and develop their skills to improve lifestyle choices and motivate them to participate in individual and group activities, assessing their responses and recording on a regular basis.

You’ll demonstrate:
- Diploma of Leisure and Health or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
- Current Drivers Licence (and a road worthy vehicle insured in line with Blue Care Policy as required).
- Registration as a Diversional Therapist with the relevant body.
- Experience in diversional therapy preferably with overall responsibility for a service diversional therapy program.
- Understanding of resident centred, residential based care services delivery.
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including basic computer skills.
