Position Summary
  • Permanent Part Time | Offering up to 60hr per FT | Hours can be negotiated

  • $23.42 per hour + 9.5% Super + Salary Packaging + Allowances

 

We're seeking passionate Personal Carers to join our Ingham Community Care Team!

 

You’ll provide care and assistance to your clients at their homes, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

 

Making scheduled visits you will provide in home personal care including:

  • Daily living assistance; showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry & ironing
  • Providing care in accordance with clients individualised Care Plan
  • Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
  • Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments

What you’ll need:

  • Certificate III Aged Care, Home and Community Care or Disability Support
  • Blue Card and Yellow Card or willingness to obtain
  • Current Australian drivers licence and roadworthy vehicle as required
  • Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
  • Up to date Influenza Vaccination desirable

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you hold a current Blue Card or Yellow Card, or the willingness to obtain?
Desirable: Do you have experience working in community care?
Essential: As a Personal Carer in the community, you’ll spend a portion of your day on the road, travelling between client homes to deliver support. Is this something you’re aware of and would be comfortable with?
Essential: Do you hold a Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Home and Community Care or Disabilities OR have you completed two semesters of a Bachelor of Nursing? If no, please list your qualifications relevant to this role:
Desirable: Because you will be working with vulnerable people in the community, it is preferable that you have an up to date influenza vaccination. Can you supply evidence of this?
Essential: Do you hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence and have access to a road worthy vehicle?
Essential: Are there any restriction on you shift availability?
