Executive Assistant – Group General Managers - Aged Care and Community Services

The Opportunity

 

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative and secretarial support to two Group General Managers across Aged and Community Services in Southeast Queensland and Regional and Remote services.  The Group General Manager is a new position designed to lead Blue Care on its exciting path towards redefining the sector to Take Care Further, in line with our newly developed 2030 Strategy. Based in Brisbane, the Executive Assistant will provide management, facilitation and support for various projects as requested.  In addition, the position is pivotal in providing strategic and business process assistance to the wider organisation.

 

Accountabilities include: 

 

  • Diary management including arranging internal and external appointments and any associated travel and accommodation required
  • Prepare Board/meeting papers, including finalise meeting papers, prepares agendas, records, and produces minutes of meetings, reviews supporting documents, identifies and takes action on action items arising from meetings
  • Organise functions, workshops and meetings
  • Extensive report, business papers, correspondence and presentation preparation
  • Responding to telephone enquiries - first point of contact
  • Email and telephone management
  • Working closely with other EAs to ensure adequate coverage across executives

Your background

 

The successful candidate will ideally demonstate the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant at a senior management level
  • Extensive Microsoft Suite skills and knowledge;
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to compose and present correspondence of a non-specialist nature
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relations across all levels
