Your role:
A unique opportunity has been created within the Care and Clinical Governance team for an experienced Community Information Specialist. Within your role you will contribute to Blue Care’s vision of achieving quality caring service delivery by providing management information and reports to underpin planning and decisions-making across the organisation. We are seeking a self-motivated, organised team player with a Community Services business focus.
The successful applicant will provide a high level of leadership and direction to the Care Information Analysts and work with Managers and Services in order to align activity with contractual expectations and targets.
You will be integral to the promotion of our customer centric culture, ensuring residents’ needs and welfare are at the centre of everything we do.
In addition to the above, you will be responsible for:
- Develop familiarity with Australian Standards, legislation and data compliance affecting reporting requirements in the aged and community care context.
- Perform the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and Qld Community Support Scheme (QCSS) extracts and submissions to meet contractual obligations and perform other ad hoc data collections as required
- Provide expert advice to the Procura Application Governance Group.
- Manage Service Desk requests for routine maintenance and problem solving for various Procura CMS Modules including Employee Maintenance, Funders/Billing Tables, CRM, HCP, DVA CN and other Episodes.
- Provide expert advice on the maintenance schedule congruent with data definitions and requirements for funding body reporting and contractual obligations (e.g. changes to valid billing service types (BST) due to contract changes).
- Foster a values-driven, safe employment environment that attracts, engages and retains skilled employees and volunteers
- Set objectives and prioritise tasks, ensuring objectives are tied to overall business strategy
Your skills and experience:
We are seeking a pro-active team-player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills in addition to an ability to build positive and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Underpinning the above you will have the following technical competencies and skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Management or Health discipline or relevant industry experience
- Experience in Health Information systems and information management, including an expert understanding of mandatory/contractual reporting via minimum data sets.
- Clinical knowledge or experience working in a community team environment.
- Excellent time, people and relationship management skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced documentation skills to ensure communication is clearly presented and understood.
- Ability to use a range of software applications and analytical tools including Excel.
- Experience and demonstrated abilities in health or community data management, analysis and reporting
