The Role

Blue Care is seeking an experienced leader with a background in Quality Service Delivery and quality to join us as Care Governance and Quality Manager (Blue Care).  This exciting opportunity will be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of quality frameworks across the organisation, ensuring the provision of quality care, regulatory compliance monitoring, advice and continuous improvement leadership.

 

As well as the opportunity to take the lead on continuous quality improvement practice for the organisation, you will also: 

  • Lead a team of Care and Quality Advisors to support the delivery of a high quality care, governance and quality service;
  • Develop and implement organisational quality improvement structures and processes;
  • Review and monitor national and international trends and developments in the community and aged care setting to ensure a contemporary quality & care governance system;
  • Monitor and review existing processes and systems to support quality based service delivery;
  • Provide strategic advice to Executives and General Managers regarding legislative, contractual and compliance standards;
  • Lead the preparation of care policy where gaps in the organisation policy framework have been identified;
  • Lead the development of submissions and coronial responses to meet service needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders;
  • Ensure that all reporting requirements to Care Governance and Quality Council are met.

About You

You will be an experienced and dedicated service delivery professional in Aged Care or Health Care, experience in quality management and in the development and continuous improvement of quality care systems. Your expertise will be supported with the following qualifications and knowledge: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related health discipline;
  • Experience in leading and managing care governance and quality service teams;
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge and / or clinical experience in service delivery and quality systems in the aged care, community care or health sectors;
  • Demonstrated understanding and advanced knowledge of person-centred care, and an ability to ensure delivery of consistently professional and innovative services and quality outcomes;
  • Significant experience in stakeholder management and relationship building, particularly in building effective and sustainable partnerships;
  • High level effective interpersonal and written and communication skills, including advanced computer literacy skills.
