We’re seeking Personal Carers to deliver outstanding care to our community clients in Allora and Clifton.

 

You’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

 

With no two days ever the same, you’ll spend your time on the road completing your scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients and their loved ones within their homes completing activities that include:

  • In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry & ironing
  • Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
  • Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
  • Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments

What you’ll need:

  • Certificate III Aged Care, Home and Community Care or Disability Support
  • Blue Card and Yellow Card or willingness to obtain
  • Current Australian drivers licence and roadworthy vehicle as required
  • Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies

Supporting our clients in the best way possible is important to us. To be employed by Blue Care, you will be required to complete the NDIS Worker Module prior to commencement and provide a copy of your certificate of completion.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you hold a current Blue Card or Yellow Card, or the willingness to obtain?
Essential: Do you hold a current Australian Driver’s License and have access to a road worthy vehicle?
Essential: As a Personal Carer in the community, you’ll spend a portion of your day on the road, travelling between client homes to deliver support. Is this something you’re aware of and would be comfortable with?
Essential: Do you hold a Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Home and Community Care or Disabilities? If no, please list your qualifications relevant to this role:
Essential: Do you have experience working in community care?
Essential: Can you demonstrate effective use of digital technology and devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers and proficiency in software applications?
Essential: Because you will be working with vulnerable people in the community, it is preferable that you have an up to date influenza vaccination. Can you supply evidence of this?
Essential: Have you completed the NDIS Worker Orientation module and can provide your certificate of completion?
Essential: If you are successful for this role, you may be required to undergo a series of pre-employment checks; that may include your Right to Work in Australia, Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a Health Screening Questionnaire. Do you consent to this?
