We're seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our Sunshine Coast allied health community care team.
You’ll provide individualised, person-centred speech therapy to our elderly clients living in the community and in our residential aged care facilities. You’ll actively incorporate contemporary theory and practice into therapy that promotes the independence and wellbeing of our elderly clients. This This will include:
- Proactively screen and assess clients to formulate and maintain up to date individualised care plans.
- Maintaining open and fluid communication within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Referring clients to appropriate health care professionals when necessary.
- Liaising compassionately with our clients and their families.
What you’ll need:
You’ll be passionate about implementing innovative therapies designed to enable your clients to maintain and improve their independence. You’ll be self-motivated and driven to incorporate contemporary theory in your day to day activities and make a real difference to the lives of our clients! You'll have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
- Proven experience as a Speech Pathologist/Therapist, preferably in the aged care or NDIS sector
- Blue Card and NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
- Clear understanding and experience with contemporary speech pathology theories and practices
- Confidence with computers, smart phones and digital devices
- Current Open Driver’s License and Roadworthy Registered Vehicle
