We’re currently inviting applications from experienced Diversional Therapists to join our team in Redland Bay!
You’ll develop and implement social and recreational programs to improve and maintain the quality of life of our residents. This will involve assessing residents’ needs and planning, developing and evaluating individual lifestyle activity programs to increase socialisation.
You’ll explore the resident’s interests and develop their skills to improve lifestyle choices and motivate them to participate in individual and group activities, assessing their responses and recording on a regular basis.
What you’ll need:
- Diploma of Leisure and Health or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
- Experience in diversional therapy preferably with overall responsibility for a service diversional therapy program
- Understanding of resident centred, residential based care services delivery
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including basic computer skills
- Evidence of an up-to-date Influenza vaccination in accordance with the current Public Health Directive for Aged Care Facilities
Supporting our clients in the best way possible is important to us. To be employed by Blue Care, you will be required to complete the free NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement and provide a copy of your certificate on completion.

Selection Criteria |
Essential: Do you have previous experience in organising, documenting and reporting on activity programs and ongoing progress of clients? Essential: Do you hold a Diploma of Leisure and Health or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health? Essential: Do you have experience working in Aged Care as a Diversional therapist? Desirable: Do you have full Australian working entitlements as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident OR New Zealand Citizen? Desirable: If you don’t have full working entitlements, do you have a current working Visa?
