  • $28.65 per hour + Penalties & Allowances

We’re seeking applications from experienced Kitchen Hands, Cooks, Kitchen Staff and Hospitality Workers to join our facility team in Alexandra Hills. 


This is a unique employment opportunity for Hospitality Workers with proven commercial kitchen experience aiming to restore their work life balance and gain employment in one of Australia’s fastest growing industries.


You will be driven, possess leadership qualities and take pride in your presentation. You’ll be knowledgeable in relation to nutrition and have a keen interest on the impact of dietary requirements on our aged residents. As part of your role you’ll:

  • Prepare, cook and deliver food in adherence with Australian food safety standards and dietary requirements of our elderly residents
  • Be willing to support senior hospitality staff members with daily operations which may include housekeeping and laundry services
  • Be required to uphold impeccable hygiene standards 

What you’ll need:
You’ll have proven experience in safe food preparation, storage and delivery, a clear understanding of WHS and be confident in medium-high volume meal preparation. You’ll demonstrate:

  • Enthusiasm and strong self-motivation
  • Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Good understanding of Australian food and beverage standards
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.

Previous exposure to nutrition and dietary requirement for the aged is desirable, but not essential


Supporting our clients in the best way possible is important to us. To be employed by Blue Care, you will be required to complete the free NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement and provide a copy of your certificate on completion.

Essential: If you are successful for this role, you may be required to undergo a series of pre-employment checks; that may include your Right to Work in Australia, Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a Health Screening Questionnaire. Do you consent to this?
Desirable: Do you have full Australian working entitlements as an Australian Citizen. Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand Resident?
Desirable: If you don't have full working entitlements, do you have a current working Visa? Please list your visa, for example: Bridging Visa, Regional Sponsorship visa etc.
Essential: Willingness to work in all areas of hospitality (kitchen; cleaning; laundry).
Desirable: Experienced in and willingness to work as relief cook as required.
