Governance and Risk Delivery Manager

Your purpose:

As the Manager for Governance and Risk Delivery - South Coast, you’ll continue the ongoing work of building your leaders capability within this region, driving a commitment to our governance and risk framework and ensuring strong regulatory compliance across our services. Through a lens of continuous improvement, you’ll drive this commitment through: 

  • Driving collaboration: providing expert advice and operational guidance to senior leadership, empowering frontline leaders to confidently make decisions, consulting on various work groups.
  • Developing, implementing a governance and risk framework that accurate reflect emerging industry trends and relevant regional challenges
  • Embedding effective compliance and risk management strategies: standardising resources, promoting consistent practice/clinical outcomes and ensuring the preservation of accreditation standards

Your skills & experience:

With proven, clinical expertise in the development and implementation of risk and governance, your clinical leadership experience has equipped with a broad knowledge of contemporary challenges within the aged care and health care industry.


Your collaborative approach and communication style has enabled you to build effective internal relationships – with an ability to set clear, definable goals and expectations with your leaders and their teams. You present with: 

  • 5+ leadership, service delivery experience within a clinical setting 
  • Sound knowledge of continuous quality improvement practices, change management and implementation of a safety culture.  
  • Current Drivers Licence

Though not essential, Tertiary qualifications in Governance and Risk and/or Bachelor of Nursing would be desirable.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you have Tertiary qualifications in Governance and Risk and/or a health related discipline?
Essential: Do you have demonstrated expert knowledge in the delivery of governance and risk framework, processes and practices systems in either the aged care, community care or health sectors?
Essential: Do you have significant experience in high-level service delivery, leadership and management in aged care and community or a health services related environment?
Essential: Do you possess proven leadership and management of multidisciplinary teams, particularly with experience in change management?
Essential: Do you have sound knowledge of contemporary continuous quality improvement practices and safety culture.
Essential: Do you have demonstrated highly effective interpersonal and written communication skills?
Essential: Do you hold capacity to assess, coach and develop employee skills and confidence?
Essential: Do you hold a valid current driver's license?
Desirable: Do you have full Australian working entitlements as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident OR New Zealand Citizen?
Desirable: If you are successful for this role, you may be required to undergo a series of pre-employment checks, that may include your Right to Work in Australia, Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a Health Screening Questionnaire. Do you consent to this?
