$21.41 per hour (FTE $42,306) + 9.5% Super + 25% Casual Loading
Blue Care are inviting applications from individuals experienced in activity, program or leisure coordination to join their teams at Carina and Sunnybank Hills.
Your role:
A fun but challenging opportunity, you’ll develop, coordinate and lead informal, enjoyable activities and programs for our residents that aim to fulfil their social and recreational needs, promote independence and enhance their quality of life!
You’ll observe and record the effectiveness of programs, monitoring and reporting resident’s ongoing progress, whilst communicating and adjusting to any developing needs. You’ll:
- Organise, socialise, participate and supervise residents on outings
- Attending to resident/client personal care needs as required
- Safely transport individuals as requested and approved in Blue Care vehicles
- Undertake other duties as required/directed as service needs change or grow

Your skills and experience:
As an experienced Activities Officer, you’ll bring a well-rounded understanding of how to organise, coordinate and manage fun and beneficial activities for our residents/clients - both on site and in the community. You’ll demonstrate an awareness and consideration of the social and recreational needs of residents/clients, and where you’ve adapted your programs and activities accordingly. You’ll present with:
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, Community Services, Home and Community Care or other relevant field.
- Confidence with smart phone and digital devices or willingness to learn
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
- Current drivers licence and roadworthy registered vehicle.
