We're seeking Allied Health Assistants to join our team in Toowoomba
Working under the supervision of our Senior Allied Health Professionals, you will support the team with the implementation of Allied Health treatment plans, programs and services to our clients in the Toowoomba Community.
This is a great opportunity for those working towards a career as an Allied Health Professional; we’re offering permanent full time roles at 76 hours per fortnight, ideal for those who wish to gain experience in an Allied Health environment.
Visiting your clients at their homes you will:
- Provide quality client care under the clinical supervision of an Allied Health Professional
- Assist in the implementation of client care plans and programmes both individualised and group
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals such as GPs & nurses to ensure specific care plans are formulated and monitored
- Identify and report client circumstances that require additional input from our Allied Health Professionals
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of clinical equipment and resources required for services & programmes
To be successful in this role:
You’ll be passionate about providing exceptional support to ensure our Allied Health Team can provide expert clinical treatment and therapies, making a real difference to the independence and lives of your clients! You’ll present with:
- Cert III or equivalent in Allied Health Assistance, Aged Care, Disability or Health & Community Services
- OR Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy University students with at least one completed semester of a bachelor’s degree
- Effective communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrated understanding of client centred care services delivery, preferably for the frail aged, those with dementia and people with disabilities
- Current open drivers licence and roadworthy vehicle as required
Supporting our clients in the best way possible is important to us. To be employed by Blue Care, you will be required to complete the free NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement and provide a copy of your certificate on completion.
