  • Location: Ny-Ku Byun Elders Village, Cherbourg, QLD
  • Contract: Permanent Full-Time, Permanent Part-Time and Casual
  • Remuneration: $30.81 – $39.12 per hour + 9.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging OR Casual Loading + Penalties & Allowances

 

We’re seeking motivated and experienced Registered Nurses who want to make a genuine difference to the lives of our Elders at Ny-Ku Byun Elders Village in Cherbourg! 

 

Cherbourg is an aboriginal community town on the Barambah Creek, located in Wakka Wakka tribal boundaries, near the border of Gubbi Gubbi territory. It is perfectly located within driving distance of the thriving communities of the South Burnett region allowing for an enriching work/life balance.

 

In your role as a Registered Nurse, you will provide person-centred care to your residents, ensuring a safe environment within the facility and applying your clinical skills to improve their quality of life and independence.

 

You will:

  • Assess, plan and implement client care within your scope
  • Consider physical, social and psychological requirements
  • Create and update care plans to reflect developing needs
  • Ensure clinical quality compliance standards are met
  • Work collaboratively with other multi-disciplinary team members

 

What you’ll need:

  • Excellent communication and clinical problem solving skills
  • Confidence in managing your time effectively, including an ability to work autonomously.
  • 2+ years general nursing experience, post-registration
  • Full, unrestricted AHPRA registration and unlimited work entitlements
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence

Supporting our clients in the best way possible is important to us. To be employed by Blue Care, you will be required to complete the free NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement and provide a copy of your certificate on completion.

Selection Criteria Desirable: Do you hold a current Nurse Licence and Registration Certificate to practice in the State where employed? i.e. AHPRA registration
Desirable: Do you have full Australian working entitlements as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident OR New Zealand Citizen?
Desirable: If you don’t have full working entitlements, do you have a current working Visa? Please list your visa, for example: Bridging Visa, Regional Sponsorship Visa etc.
Desirable: Do you hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or the willingness to obtain?
Desirable: Can you supply evidence of an up-to-date influenza vaccination in accordance with the current Public Health Directive for Aged Care Facilities?
Desirable: Do you have experience working in Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island remote communities?
