Position Summary
Blue Care are inviting applications from Personal Carers to deliver exceptional Community Care to our clients in Biloela!
  • Permanent Part Time
  • Callide Community Care - Biloela
  • $23.42  per hour + 9.5% Super + Salary Packaging 

Your role:

As a Personal Carer, you’ll deliver individualised support to your clients living in the community. You’ll provide services that promote their independence, enhancing their quality of life and empowering them to spend time doing what matters!

 

With no two days ever the same, you’ll spend your time on the road, completing your scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients and their loved ones within their homes. You’ll provide:

  • In home services such as personal care, daily living activities including showering, personal hygiene, food preparation and domestic cleaning.
  • Support to participate in community based recreational and social activities
  • Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments

Your skills and experience:

You’ll be passionate about making a difference and bringing empathy and compassion to your client’s lives. You’ll be driven to improve their independence and well-being, attentively providing the support outlined in their care plan.

 

You’ll be a well-organised, self-starter with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities within your week and work independently to achieve your daily plan. You’ll demonstrate:

  • Certificate III Aged Care, Home and Community Care or Disability Support
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain
  • Confidence with smart phones and digital devices or willingness to learn
  • QLD Driver’s License and roadworthy registered vehicle
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.

Selection Criteria Essential: As a Personal Carer in the community, you’ll spend a large portion of your day on the road, travelling between client homes to deliver support. Is this something you’re aware of and would be comfortable with?

Essential: If you are successful for this role, you may be required to undergo a series of pre-employment checks, that may include your Right to Work in Australia, Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a Health Screening Questionnaire. Do you consent to this?
Essential: Do you hold a current Australian Drivers Licence and have access to a roadworthy vehicle that is insured for work purposes?
Essential: Do you hold a current Blue Card or Yellow Card or the willingness to obtain?
Desirable: Do you have any limitations on your availability? If yes, please list when you are NOT available: include ability to work regular rotating weekends and early evenings
Desirable: Do you have experience working in community care?
