Position Summary |
- Permanent Part Time | Up to 60hrs per FT
- Based in Ayr and the Burdekin Community
- $23.42 per hour + 9.5% Super + Salary Packaging + Allowances
We have opportunities for passionate Personal Carers to join our Blue Care team in Ayr and the Burdekin Community!
You’ll provide care and assistance to your clients at their homes, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.
Making scheduled visits you will provide in home personal care including:
- Daily living assistance; showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry & ironing
- Providing care in accordance with clients individualised Care Plan
- Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
- Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments

What you’ll need:
- Certificate III Aged Care, Home and Community Care or Disability Support
- Blue Card and Yellow Card or willingness to obtain
- Current Australian drivers licence and roadworthy vehicle as required
- Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
- Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies

Selection Criteria |
Desirable: Do you hold a current Blue Card or Yellow Card, or the willingness to obtain? Desirable: Do you hold a Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Home and Community Care or Disabilities? If no, please list your qualifications relevant to this role: Desirable: Do you have experience working in community care? Desirable: As a Domestic Personal Carer in the community, you’ll spend a portion of your day on the road, travelling between client homes to deliver support. Is this something you’re aware of and would be comfortable with? Desirable: Because you will be working with vulnerable people in the community, it is preferable that you have an up to date influenza vaccination. Can you supply evidence of this? Desirable: Do you hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence and have access to a road worthy vehicle? |
