Remuneration Value: $27.65 per hour (FTE $54,635) + 9.5% Super + Salary Packaging 


Blue Care are inviting applications from experienced Payroll Administrators to join their team at Toowoomba. 


Your role:

As a key support role to the delivery of services in the region, our administrators play a pivotal role in ensuring business operations are run efficiently and our clients and residents receive an exceptional experience!


The role of Payroll involves managing timesheets sent electronically and base rosters, within Kronos timecards and schedules. You will be responsible for processing timesheets, pay enquiries and leave within specified timeframes with adherence to Enterprise Agreements and Awards.

You’ll apply strong attention to detail and efficiency to your customer service approach, managing conflicting priorities as they arise throughout the day! You’ll:

  • Proactively identify and report on resource allocation and rostering opportunities to optimise and refine rosters and schedules, achieving best practice outcomes.
  • Process employee timesheets and ensuring compliance with relevant Enterprise Agreements and Awards.
  • Update the employee timecard and schedule in a timely manner in order to meet changes to customer demand, as well as planned and unplanned employee absences.
  • In collaboration with the manager, process payroll exceptions within designated tolerances and resolve exceptions that fall outside of the designated tolerances.
  • Analyse payroll exceptions and provide solutions to ensure occurrences and impact are minimised.
  • Use mainstream software including the Microsoft Office Suite and database applications (Intermediate – Advanced).
  • Assist senior staff with special projects as required

Your skills and experience:

You’re a strong communicator, comfortable with managing customer expectations and confident speaking with individuals from all walks of life, demographics and backgrounds. Your administrative experience has provided you with a flexible but systematic approach to your work. With a keen eye for detail, you’re confident in identifying errors and putting forward opportunities for improvements!


You’ll present with:

  • Demonstrated experience in understanding and applying payroll related terms of Enterprise Agreements, Awards or the ability to quickly acquire such knowledge.
  • Demonstrated experience and intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and data applications.
  • Experience working with a range of different technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, report on and action insights drawn from data and analytics within varying enterprise systems.
  • Experience in the delivery of exceptional customer service in a customer-led care and support environment.
