We’re seeking experienced Registered Nurses motivated to make a change in the life of our community clients and set a new standard in care.

 

You’ll provide person-centred care to your clients in the community, ensuring a safe environment within their home and applying your clinical skills to improve client’s quality of life and independence. You’ll 

  • Assess, plan and implement client care within your scope
  • Consider physical, social and psychological requirements
  • Create and update care plans to reflect developing needs
  • Ensure clinical quality compliance standards are met
  • Work collaboratively with other multi-disciplinary team members 

With no two days ever the same, you’ll spend the majority of your day on the road, completing your scheduled community visits.

 

What you’ll need:

You’ll be an experienced nurse who is driven to make a change in the lives of those in the community through enabling their independence and well-being. You’ll be confident working autonomously within a community care based setting and demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving skills
  • 2+ years general nursing experience, preferably in community sector
  • Confidence with smart phones and digital devices or willingness to learn
  • Full, unrestricted AHPRA registration and unlimited work entitlements
  • Current Australian Driver’s License.

Supporting our clients in the best way possible is important to us.  As part of your induction with Blue Care, you will be required to complete the NDIS Worker Orientation module or provide us with your previously obtained certificate of completion.  You can complete the module here: https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and the government aged care directions regarding the requirement for an employee in a residential aged care facility to have a current influenza vaccination, many of the independent living units and other services we are engaged to support require the employee to be vaccinated against influenza. As such, it is preferred that the successful candidate has a current influenza vaccination.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you hold a current Nurse Licence and Registration Certificate to practice in the State where employed? i.e. AHPRA registration
Essential: Do you hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence and have access to a road worthy vehicle suitable for the transportation of frail aged or disabled clients, insured in line with Blue Care Policy?
Desirable: Do you have broad general nursing experience and demonstrated skills reflective of clinical experience?
Desirable: Do you have full Australian working entitlements as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident OR New Zealand Citizen?
Desirable: If you don’t have full working entitlements, do you have a current working Visa? Please list your visa, for example: Bridging Visa, Regional Sponsorship Visa etc.
Desirable: Are there any restriction on you shift availability?
Desirable: What locations are you willing to work within?
Desirable: Can you supply evidence of an up-to-date influenza vaccination in accordance with the current Public Health Directive for Aged Care Facilities?
