  • Remuneration: $32.88 - $40.03 per hour (FTE $64,975 - $79,102 based on experience) + 9.5% Super + NFP Salary Packaging + Employee Benefits

 Blue care is actively inviting applications from Podiatrists keen to join our dynamic Metro North Allied Health team on a part time basis.


This position is open to new grads or podiatrists with some experience looking for a great opportunity to secure an exciting permanent position where you will be exposed to a caseload including biomechanical assessments, general nail care and education, diabetic foot care and management of wounds.

Your role:

You’ll work with our well established multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest standard of care and podiatry treatment using a person-centred approach with a varied caseload. Your main aim will be to maintain and encourage client independence in addition to considering their physical and social wellbeing. You will have support from admin and Allied Health Assistants to make bookings, complete any billing and sterilise equipment. Responsibilities include:

  • Assess and develop appropriate care plans
  • Deliver latest podiatry treatments using modern equipment to achieve great client outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records using an electronic tablet (provided).

  • You will have responsibility for your own case load but work alongside our team of five experienced podiatrists.
  • You will be a member of a well-established team of over 40 AH clinicians including OT, Physio, Social Work, Exercise Physiology, Speech Pathology and Dietitians
  • You will have opportunity to advance your clinical skills under supervision of two senior podiatrists in areas of general nail and foot care, biomechanics, diabetic foot management and high risk foot care
  • You will have opportunity to engage in MDT team meetings and education
  • Induction program and regular supervision with senior podiatrist
  • Regular catch up with AH team Coordinator to ensure you are supported in your position.

A bit about you:

You will be driven to make a difference in the lives of our clients and be knowledgeable and experienced within the aged care sector or enthusiastic to learn. You will be well-versed on contemporary theories and treatments and take a continuous improvement approach toward your professional endeavours.

 

 

You will present with:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Podiatry
  • Current AHPRA Registration and membership of professional body
  • Current Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
