Your Opportunity
Based in Rockhampton or Mackay, the role reports directly to the Group General Manager, Aged Care & Community Services, Regional & Remote. Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast offer some of Queensland’s best undiscovered hideaways, low cost of living and the services and affordability of a rural city.
The purpose of this role is to provide management and leadership to the Central Queensland cluster within Blue Care and in line with the Mission, Values and organisational strategic direction. It will focus on General Management of the operations of the cluster, ensuring efficient and effective high quality services are provided in Aged Care and Community services. The Central Queensland cluster consists of 5 residential aged care facilities, and 20 community care services. You will be responsible for a total staff number of over 700 and a budget of $52million.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- A clinical background and demonstrated experience as a registered health professional is essential.
- Demonstrated experience at a management level within aged care and community services and a degree or tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
- Experience in working in large and complex organisations, leading effective teams and projects;
- A passion for contemporary leadership and driving performance by cultivating a positive, accountable and productive culture and working environment;
- Proven ability to positively engage and influence stakeholders, including being responsive to a variety of needs during times of change;
- An alignment to our mission of being the service arm of the Uniting Church; and,
- A values-based, engaging and flexible working style that thrives within a complex, changing and often ambiguous environment.
