Position Summary
  • Employment Status: Casual or Permanent Part Time
  • Location: Central Queensland – Gladstone Community Care
  • Remuneration: $31.36 – $39.82 per hour (+ 23% casual loading) + 10% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Shift allowances and Penalties

We’re seeking experienced Registered Nurses, preferably with community-based experience to join our Central Queensland team and provide person-centred community aged care in Gladstone.

 

This is a great opportunity for Registered Nurses looking to secure a permanent contract in a leading healthcare and community services NFP without affecting their work life balance. We also have flexible casual employment opportunities that would suit RNs looking for additional hours.

 

 

You’ll provide person-centred care to your clients in the community, ensuring a safe environment within their home and applying your clinical skills to improve client’s quality of life and independence. You’ll 

  • Assess, plan and implement client care within your scope
  • Consider physical, social and psychological requirements
  • Create and update care plans to reflect developing needs
  • Ensure clinical quality compliance standards are met
  • Work collaboratively with other multi-disciplinary team members 

With no two days ever the same, you’ll spend the majority of your day on the road, completing your scheduled community visits.

 

What you’ll need:

You’ll be an experienced nurse who is driven to make a change in the lives of those in the community through enabling their independence and well-being. You’ll be confident working autonomously within a community care based setting and demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving skills
  • 2+ years general nursing experience, preferably in community sector
  • Confidence with smart phones and digital devices or willingness to learn
  • Full, unrestricted AHPRA registration and unlimited work entitlements
  • Current Australian Driver’s License.

Selection Criteria Desirable: Do you have broad general nursing experience and demonstrated skills reflective of clinical experience?
Essential: Do you hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or the willingness to obtain?
Essential: Do you hold current AHPRA registration?
Essential: Do you hold a current Australian Drivers Licence and have access to a roadworthy passenger vehicle that is insured for work purposes?
Desirable: Do you have full Australian working entitlements as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident OR New Zealand Citizen?
